1. Water-based ink
water-based ink of Stormjet eco solvent printer mainly uses water and water-soluble solvents as main components to dissolve color base. The biggest advantage of water-soluble solvents is that they are not harmful to human body and environment. Therefore, water-based inks are also called environmentally friendly inks. Water-based inks are generally produced with nano-level pigments, which overcome sensitivity of dye-based inks to temperature, humidity, atmospheric conditions, and light effects, and can achieve ideal effect of waterproof, light, UV and non-fading.

2. Oil-based ink
Oil-based ink is based on organic solvents (such as toluene, xylene, etc.) as main component of color base. Compared with water-based inks, oil-based inks have a greater relative odor and are generally used in printers. Secondly, due to non-water-soluble pigment ink raw materials used, ph value of oil-based inks is generally acidic.

3.To put it simply, biggest difference between water-based ink and oil-based ink is use of different areas. Water-based inks are mostly used in indoor advertisements, which require high color saturation and printing accuracy; while oil-based inks are mostly used in outdoor areas to resist ultraviolet rays, temperature, and humidity.
