 The use of UV printers are becoming more and more popular.The UV process needs a high-end output feeling, it must be inseparable from the treatment of varnish. However, sometimes during the printing process, varnish will also have printing problems. So what are the main problems? How to solve it?

1. The varnish is incompletely dried and incompletely cured, leaving traces when touched by hand
This is a very common problem in UV printing, and the main reason for this problem is that the intensity of the LED curing lamp is not enough, or the LED curing lamp is broken, aging, or malfunctioning. In addition, it may be due to improper storage of UV varnish that has changed its properties. If the printing speed of the uv printer is too fast, or if the media is removed before printing, the varnish will also dry incompletely.

Solution: If there is a problem with the LED curing lamp, it should be repaired or replaced in time. In addition, to ensure that the power of the LED curing lamp is sufficient, you can consult the machine manufacturer for details.

2. Large residual odor of varnish
If the residual smell of varnish is relatively large, it is also due to incomplete drying of the varnish, incomplete curing of the LED curing lamp, or the use of inferior varnish.

Solution: To ensure the drying of the varnish must be thorough, and do not use inferior varnish, in addition, pay attention to the ventilation of the place where the UV samples are stored.

3.Poor adhesion of varnish
If the printed varnish layer is easy to come off and the adhesion is not good, it may be because the varnish used is of poor quality and poor adhesion; or it is because the LED curing lamp has a problem with the drying varnish.

Solution:Do not use inferior varnish, and pay attention to maintenance LED curing lights.

4. No varnish on the surface of the media
The main reason for this is because the viscosity of the varnish is small, or the varnish coating is too thin; or because the ink surface of the substrate is crystallized; or the UV ink is inferior.

Solution: UV varnish coating can be printed thicker, do not use inferior varnish and inferior UV ink.
