All Epson printheads including original DX5 printheads would probably have clogging issues after long delivery or stock time. so before first installtion,what should we do to avoid it?According to many years of experience, our company has summarized the following methods for cleaning the printheads before installation which are very practical.
Printhead: New printheads which are never used before. Not applicable for the used printheads.
Tools: Syringe and original cleaning liquid.
Precautions:
1. The syringe cannot exceed 10ml, otherwise it will cause penetration of the nozzle holes.
2.Be sure to use the original cleaning liquid.
3.After rinsing, you must make sure that the liquid does not flow to the position of the cable connection. If nozzle missing or oblique spraying is found, it means that the nozzles are blocked. Rinse the nozzles several times and flush it until the nozzles unblocked.
4.If the rinsing effect is not good, you can also soak the surface of the printhead in the blue cleaning liquid. Be careful not to splash liquid into the cable connection when immersed.
